Raiders Sign Henderson

The Raiders have signed DT John Henderson.

The Oakland Raiders have signed veteran free agent DT John Henderson, formerly of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Henderson has played in 124 League games with 120 starts. He has recorded 29 sacks and eight forced fumbles since entering the NFL as a first round draft pick (9th overall) of the Jaguars in 2002. He logged 36 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles during the 2009 season. The 6'7", 335-pounder has also knocked down 38 passes during his career, including three last season.

The two-time Pro Bowl selection played in 82 straight games with 78 starts from 2002-07.

A native of Nashville, Henderson played his college ball at Tennessee where he was a three-year starter and named first-team All-American during his senior year. As a junior, he won the Outland Trophy as the nation's most outstanding interior lineman and was a first-team All-American.
