Raiders Sign Punter Colby Wadman

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent P Colby Wadman, the club announced Friday.

After finishing up his collegiate career, Wadman participated in rookie mini-camp in 2017 with the Raiders on a tryout basis. He was also with the Indianapolis Colts on a tryout basis for their rookie mini-camp last year.

Wadman spent his collegiate career punting for UC Davis (2013-16), appearing 34 total games for the Aggies while being named a three-time All-Big Sky Conference Honorable Mention. Over his four-year career, Wadman recorded 182 punts, notching a 40.2-yard gross average and pinning 57 of them inside his opponents' 20-yard line, while also having a long of 65 yards. As a senior in 2016, the 6-foot-1, 213-pound punter boasted a career-high 43.2-yard gross average. He pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line at least 17 times in each season with UC Davis, while crossing the 40.0-yard punt average barrier in each of his last three years.

A Thousand Oaks, Calif., native, Wadman was named All-Marmonte League First Team as a senior in high school in 2012 at Thousand Oaks High School, posting a 39.9-yard gross average while downing eight punts inside the 20-yard line.
