ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed TE Scott Simonson to their active roster from the team's practice squad, and placed S Jonathan Dowling on the reserve/injured list, General Manager Reggie McKenzie announced Saturday.

Simonson originally signed with Oakland as an undrafted free agent in May, and was waived by the team at the end of training camp before signing to the practice squad two days later.

He appeared in 36 games with 31 starts over four years at Assumption, totaling 104 receptions for 1,537 yards and 15 touchdowns. As a senior, he started all 11 games and led the team with 39 receptions for 604 yards and five touchdowns.

Dowling, the Raiders' seventh-round pick (247th overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft, appeared in seven games this year for the Raiders, posting three tackles (two solo), while contributing mainly on special teams.
