DVD INT: CB DeMarcus Van Dyke recorded his first career interception against the Kansas City Chiefs at O.co Coliseum on October 23. The rookie from Miami picked off a third quarter pass from Matt Cassel and returned it two yards. He also was credited with a team-high two passes defensed against the Chiefs.
FIRST IMPRESSION: S Chinedum Ndukwe recorded an interception in his first game as a member of the Silver and Black on October 23 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
JUST SHY OF A C-NOTE: RB Michael Bush saw extensive action against the Kansas City Chiefs at O.co Coliseum on October 23, totaling 99 yards on 17 carries. Bush averaged 5.8 yards per rushing attempt and broke off a personal season-long 35-yard run.
ROUTT WRAPS 'EM UP: CB Stanford Routt led the team and established a career-high with 10 total tackles against the Kansas City Chiefs at O.co Coliseum on October 23. Nine of Routt's tackles were solo stops, which also marked a career-high for the seven-year pro.
PALMER DEBUTS: QB Carson Palmer made his first appearance as a Raider against the Kansas City Chiefs on October 23 and completed his first pass attempt to WR Darrius Heyward-Bey for 18 yards. Palmer, a two-time Pro Bowl selection as a member of Cincinnati Bengals, was acquired by the Silver and Black via trade on October 18.
CP TO DHB: QB Carson Palmer and WR Darrius Heyward-Bey developed a connection in the passing game immediately as the two connected for an 18-yard gain on Palmer's first play from scrimmage as a Raider on October 23. Palmer completed eight passes, with three of those completions going to Heyward-Bey for 54 yards.
PICK-7: Seven different Raider players have recorded interceptions so far this season. Rookie CB DeMarcus Van Dyke recorded an interception against the Chiefs on October 23, joining DE Lamarr Houston as defenders that have posted their first career picks this year. S Chinedum Ndukwe also had an interception in his first game as a Raider on October 23. CB Stanford Routt, S Tyvon Branch, S Matt Giordano and S Michael Huff also have interceptions so far this season.

SPREADING THE WEALTH: Nine different Raiders caught at least one pass during the Raiders' contest against the Kansas City Chiefs on October 23 at O.co Coliseum. For the second week in a row, WR Darrius Heyward-Bey paced the group, this time catching five passes with a long of 21 while WR Jacoby Ford caught two passes.
BRANCHING OUT: SS Tyvon Branch, the Raiders leading tackler in 2009 and 2010, is once again leading the Raiders defense in tackles. According to unofficial press box numbers, Branch has 56 total tackles with 35 solo stops.
