The Oakland Raiders tackle the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland. The Raiders lead the all-time regular season series 11-9. The teams first met in 1970 after the AFL/NFL merger and they have tangled twice in the playoffs with the Raiders winning both match-ups.
1970s
The Raiders and Browns met seven times in the 1970s with the Silver and Black winning six. The Raiders won that first match-up in Oakland 23-20 in 1970 and the next in 1971, 34-20 in Cleveland. The Browns won their first in the series in 1973, 7-3, in Oakland. The Raiders handled the Browns 40-24 in Cleveland in 1974, 38-17 in Oakland in 1975, 26-10 in Cleveland in 1977 and 19-14 in Oakland in 1979.

1980s **
The Raiders faced the Browns January 4, 1981, in an AFC Divisional Playoff in Cleveland. In a game that was named for one play, the Raiders won 14-12 thanks to a safety Mike Davis interception on a play dubbed "Red Right 88," on their way to the AFC Championship game. After moving to Los Angeles, the 1982 Raiders topped the Browns in an AFC Wild Card playoff game in Los Angeles, 27-10. The Silver and Black won the next two regular season match-ups – 21-20 in Cleveland in 1985, and 27-14 in Los Angeles. The Browns won their second meeting in the series, 24-17, in 1987 in Los Angeles.
1990s
The teams only met twice in the 90s with the Browns winning both contests, 28-16 in 1992, and 19-16 in 1993. Both of the Browns wins came in LA.
2000s
The Raiders and Browns have tussled eight times since 2000. The Browns have gotten the better of the match-up with five wins in those eight contests. In 2000, the Raiders won 36-10 in Oakland, in 2003 the Browns won 13-7 in Cleveland, 9-7 in Oakland in 2005, and 24-21 in Oakland in 2006. The Raiders snapped the Browns winning streak with a 26-24 win in Oakland in 2007. The Browns won the 2009 match-up in Cleveland 22-9. K Sebastian Janikowski kicked the second-longest field goal of his career, a 61-yarder, during the 2009 game. The Raiders won 24-17 in Oakland in 2011 and the Browns won the most recent match-up, 20-17, in Oakland in 2012.
