Q: After seeing Matthew Stafford's runs against the Raiders, do your eyes get big?
Mariota:"Not necessarily. I'm going to do my best to take what's in front of me. If it's an opportunity to run, I'll do it. For the most part I just try to play within myself and try to get first downs."
Q: Has it been challenging to know when to stay in the pocket and when to run?
Mariota:"Not at all. I just continue to be the same player I've always been. Just trust my instincts and try to make plays."
Q: What's been the biggest adjustment in the NFL for you?
Mariota:"Just week in and week out the different complexities of the defenses that you have to face. In college, teams lined up in what they were going to play. You just played the game that way. At this level, it's all about match-ups and trying to exploit weakness. For us as an offense, just trying to combat that and finding ways to build rhythm and score points."
Q: What are you impressions of the Raiders defense?
Mariota:"They're a physical group up front. They really try to control line of scrimmage with the guys they have up front. On the back end they're led by a couple of veteran guys who have been doing it for a long time and are still making plays. We have a tough challenge in front of us, and we'll do our best to execute what the coaches ask and try to score points."
Q: Do you feel any added pressure to win at home?
Mariota:"Not at all. We just have to continue to have the same mentality that we've built throughout this entire year. You just have to go out there and try to finish some of these games. We've been in a lot of close games, and it would be nice to bring a win at home for sure."
