Biography

Cappa, a 6-foot-6, 312-pound offensive lineman, joins the Raiders after spending the last three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He was originally a third-round pick (94th overall) by Tampa Bay in 2018 and spent his first four seasons with the Buccaneers.

Cappa has played in 102 career games with 96 starts in the regular season and has started all three postseason contests he's appeared in. He started 50 games at right guard for the Bengals after joining the team in 2022. Last season, he blocked for an offense that led NFL in passing yards per game (272.9) and ranked ninth in total yards (365.5).

In 2021, he started all 17 regular-season games and both postseason games for Tampa Bay, helping the offensive line allow a league-low 23 sacks, while leading the league in passing yards per game (307.6) and ranking second in total yards per game (405.9). In 2020, Cappa started all 16 games at right guard and helped the Buccaneers win Super Bowl LV.

A native of Dublin, Calif., Cappa spent five years (2013-17) at Humboldt State University and played in 43 career games while being named Great Northwest Athletic Conference's Offensive Lineman of the Year in four-straight seasons.
