White joins the Silver and Black after spending the 2024 season with the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans, where he played in seven games with one start (all with Houston), totaling 19 tackles.

The 6-0, 237-pound linebacker spent the first six seasons of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2019-23) after initially being drafted by the club with the fifth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. White has played in 83 career games (76 starts) and owns 585 total tackles (379 solo), 23.0 sacks, 40 tackles for loss, 64 quarterback hits, three interceptions, six forced fumbles, nine fumble recoveries and 21 passes defensed over his seven seasons in the NFL.

A 2020 Associated Press All-Pro and 2021 Pro Bowl selection, White is one of only three players in the NFL to record 500+ tackles and 20.0+ sacks since 2019, joined by Jerome Baker and Demario Davis. He is also one of only six players in the NFL since 1987 to record 500+ tackles and 20.0+ sacks in his first six seasons in the NFL.

White also logged a banner year in 2020, posting career highs in tackles (140; 5th in NFL), sacks (9.0; t-4th among LBs), and tackles for loss (15; t-3rd in NFL), helping the Buccaneers to the Super Bowl LV title.

A native of Springhill, La., White played three seasons at LSU (2016-18), where he was a two-time captain, two-time team MVP, two-time All-SEC honoree, Butkus Award winner (2018) and consensus All-American (2018). During his time with the Tigers White combined for 286 tackles, 29 TFLs, 8.5 sacks, 4 FFs, 4 FRs and 1 INT in 38 career games (25 starts).
