Arriving From Cincy

Cappa spent the past three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, making 50 starts at right guard. From 2022-24, the Bengals offense ranked sixth in the NFL in scoring (24.2 points per game), second in the NFL in passing yards per game (255.5), sixth in first downs per game (21.2), seventh in third down conversion percentage (43.4) and third in red zone efficiency (62.9 percent).

Size and Experience for the Silver and Black

Cappa, a 6-foot-6, 312-pound offensive lineman, becomes the fifth Raiders offensive lineman listed at 6-foot-6 or taller. He joins Kolton Miller (6-foot-8), Dalton Wagner (6-foot-8), Andrus Peat (6-foot-7) and Thayer Munford Jr. (6-foot-6).

Cappa has appeared in 102 regular season games and three postseason games. He ranks second in the NFL in offensive snaps played since 2020 (regular season). The guard brings seven years of NFL experience to a Raiders offense that saw rookies combine for the highest snap share of any team in the NFL (24.0 percent) in 2024.

Familiarity with Spytek

General Manager John Spytek was Tampa Bay's director of player personnel when the Buccaneers drafted Cappa in the third round (94th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Cappa appeared in six games as a rookie before moving into a starting role from 2019-21, making 46 starts at right guard.

A Winning Pedigree

Cappa has played on teams with a winning record in five consecutive seasons. Three of those teams have won double-digit games. Cappa was a part of the 2020 Buccaneers squad that won Super Bowl LV over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Humboldt Beginnings

A native of Dublin, California, Cappa spent five years (2013-17) at Humboldt State University (now known as Cal Poly Humboldt). He played in 43 career games (with a redshirt season in 2013) and was recognized as the Great Northwest Athletic Conference's Offensive Lineman of the Year in all four seasons he played. Cappa is the highest draft selection in Humboldt school history and only player to get drafted from the school since 1992.
