What to know
The Jaguars have seen struggles recently, much like the Raiders, as Jacksonville has lost six of its last seven games, most recently to the New York Jets in Week 15. In early December, the team placed quarterback Trevor Lawrence on injured reserve due to a AC joint injury he sustained in Week 9. Quarterback Mac Jones, who was traded to the Jaguars from the Patriots this offseason, has replaced Lawrence under center and in his past two starts, has thrown for 514 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.
Both of these teams have been riddled with injures, yet two rookies have made their impacts felt. No. 23 overall pick Brian Thomas Jr. has been a bright spot for the Jaguars, setting a franchise single-season rookie record in receiving yards (956) and touchdowns (eight). Among rookies, he ranks second in receiving yards right behind Raiders tight end Brock Bowers, the No. 13 overall pick. Bowers has also had a spectacular season as, in Week 14, he set the NFL record for most receptions by a rookie tight end and is just 109 receiving yards away from breaking the NFL record for most receiving yards by a rookie tight end (Mike Ditka, 1,076 yards).

- The Jaguars lead the all-time regular season series against the Raiders, 6-4, dating back to 1996.
