What to know
While the Falcons rank eighth in the league in total offense (371.0 ypg) and second in passing (250.2 ypg), they're looking to right a four-game losing streak and are still eyeing a chance at taking the NFC South division title. Falcons Head Coach Raheem Morris confirmed Monday that although Cousins has struggled in this stretch – throwing zero touchdowns and eight interceptions over the last four games – he remains the team's starting quarterback.
"Kirk's the guy who's going to lead us," Morris said via the team website. "We've still got a big-time opportunity coming up here on Monday Night Football with Kirk leading us, and I'm fired up to go out there and get us a good play back."
As for the Raiders, Aidan O'Connell reportedly suffered a bone bruise in his knee in last Sunday's matchup, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The coaching staff will have a little extra time to evaluate the QB room with Monday Night Football on deck, but Head Coach Antonio Pierce noted that if O'Connell ultimately can't suit up, Desmond Ridder would, as of now, get the start against his former team. Additionally, the team signed QB Carter Bradley to the active roster on Tuesday and added QB Jake Luton to the practice squad.
