Las Vegas Raiders host 2nd annual holiday meal packing event with United Way of Southern Nevada and Smith's Food and Drug Store

LAS VEGAS (Nov. 25, 2024) – The Las Vegas Raiders and the Raiders Foundation once again partnered up with the United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) and Smith's Food and Drug Store for the 2nd annual holiday meal packing event in support of the community this holiday season.

The organization and foundation donated more than $150,000 towards supplies and food to support food insecure families in Southern Nevada. On Monday, Nov. 4th, Las Vegas Raiders team members packed 10,000 holiday meals at Raiders Headquarters with the help of UWSN.

"United Way of Southern Nevada is proud to partner once again with the Las Vegas Raiders for this Thanksgiving Meal Distribution," said Samuel Rudd, President and CEO of United Way of Southern Nevada. "With the support of our incredible volunteers, we're able to unite as a community to ensure families across Southern Nevada have a Thanksgiving meal this holiday season. This partnership truly shows the impact we can make together as a united community."

Following the food packing event, the pre-packed meals were distributed to UWSN's community partners.

"For the second year in a row, the Raiders organization is proud to partner with United Way of Southern Nevada and Smith's Food & Drug Stores to help feed families in need this holiday season. Together, we packed 10,000 meals that will be distributed to over 30 local, community-based organizations. I'm incredibly proud that over 150 employees volunteered their time to successfully execute this community service effort that support families right here in the Las Vegas valley" said Sandra Douglass Morgan, President of the Las Vegas Raiders.
