The Oakland Raiders are continuing their push for the playoffs Sunday afternoon at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum against the Buffalo Bills. The Silver and Black enter the matchup with a record of 9-2 and sole possession of first place in the division.
The Bills have a challenging offense with dual-threat quarterback Tyrod Taylor running the show, as well as Pro Bowl running back Lesean McCoy. Buffalo currently owns the best rushing attack in the NFL, averaging 157.4 yards per game. Bills Head Coach Rex Ryan has an arsenal of weapons at his disposal, and will also have dynamic wide receiver Sammy Watkins on the field Sunday.
The Raiders defense has been improving in recent weeks and will be tasked with stopping a high-powered offense at the OACC.
Heading into the matchup let's take a look at the inactive players.
Quarterback Connor Cook
Cornerback Antonio Hamilton
Running Back DeAndré Washington
Defensive Tackle Darius Latham
Guard Denver Kirkland
Linebacker Shilique Calhoun
Defensive Tackle Stacy McGee
Notables:
Rookie linebacker Shilique Calhoun will miss his second consecutive week of action, after not participating in last week's bout with the Carolina Panthers. Returning to the field is cornerback David Amerson who plays an important role in the Raiders secondary. Through 12 games, Amerson has tallied 46 tackles, two interceptions, and an impressive 14 passes defensed. The fourth-year pro could potentially lineup against Watkins in what should be a good battle to keep an eye on.
