Postgame Notes: Preseason Week 1 at Minnesota Vikings

  • WR Tre Tucker led the team with 73 receiving yards on two receptions (36.5 avg.). Tucker pulled in a 44-yard reception in the second quarter, the longest of the game for the Raiders.

Defensive Notes

  • Early in the second quarter, CB Jack Jones picked off Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy at the LV 29 and returned it four yards. Jones finished with two solo tackles, one interception and one pass defensed.
  • S Tre'von Moehrig led the defense with six total tackles and added one pass defensed.

Special Team Notes

  • K Daniel Carlson made a 56-yard field goal in the second quarter. Since entering the league, Carlson has made 25-of-32 field goal attempts from 50+ yards. His 78.1 field goal percentage from 50+ yards is the second-best mark in the NFL since 2018 (min. 30 att.)
  • P AJ Cole punted six times for 312 yards (52.0 avg.) and downed three punts inside the 20-yard line today.
  • Cole notched two punts of 60+ yards in the game today. Last season, Cole logged 16 punts of 60+ yards, passing Shane Lechler (14 in 2008 and 2011) for the most 60-plus yard punts in a single season in Raiders history and the second most in the NFL in 2023.
