Raiders 3rd round draft pick Tony Bergstrom signs his contract at the team's Alameda, Calif., facility just after 10:00 p.m. Friday night.
The Oakland Raiders have signed OL Tony Bergstrom, the team's first pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, the organization announced Saturday.
Bergstrom is the fifth of six members of Reggie McKenzie's first draft class as General Manager of the Silver and Black to come to terms.
Bergstrom (6-5, 310), was the Raiders' first pick in this year's NFL Draft after being selected in the third round (95th overall) by the Silver and Black. Bergstrom played four years at Utah, playing in 48 career games and starting his final 38 contests at right tackle.
A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Bergstrom garnered first-team All-Pac-12 honors after starting 12 games as a senior. He was named to the preseason watch lists for the Outland Trophy and Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, while grading a career-best 85 percent for blocking consistency. He started 13 games and was named second-team All-Mountain West Conference as a junior.
