HENDERSON, Nev. – The Las Vegas Raiders have signed seventh-round draft pick CB M.J. Devonshire, the club announced Thursday.
Devonshire, a 5-foot-11, 186-pound cornerback out of Pittsburgh, was selected with the 229th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Devonshire played in 50 career games with 18 starts over five seasons at Kentucky (2019-20) and Pittsburgh (2021-23), totaling 90 tackles, 24 passes defensed and eight interceptions.
In 2023, Devonshire was named Second Team All-ACC after recording 32 tackles, 10 passes defensed and four interceptions. He led the ACC in passes defensed per game (1.17) and interception return yards (115). In his three seasons at Pitt, Devonshire totaled eight interceptions, 21 passes defensed, and three interceptions returned for a touchdown. He was also named Second Team All-ACC as a return specialist in 2022 after totaling 335 punt return yards with a punt return touchdown.
A native of Aliquippa, Pa., Devonshire attended Aliquippa High School, where he led the team to a 14-1 record and WPIAL and PIAA 3A championship his senior season. He recorded 27 catches for 571 yards and scored 24 total touchdowns, while adding eight interceptions on defense. He also recorded eight kickoff or punt return touchdowns en route to being named the Pennsylvania Football Writers Class 3A Player of the Year and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Co-Player of the Year.
With the 229th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders have selected cornerback M.J. Devonshire.
