OVERVIEW
Wilson is one of only a few Razorbacks passer to be named All-Southeastern Conference first-team (in 2011). He leaves the university with his name firmly imprinted in the school record books. Standing with elite company, He is one of two Razorbacks to attempt more than 900 passes (948) at the school and complete more than 500 throws (593). He is one of just three UA performers to complete more than 60% of his attempts (62.55) and gain over 7,000 aerial yards (7,765), while ranking fourth in school annals with 52 touchdown tosses, 56 touchdowns responsible for and 1,058 offensive plays.
His pass completions, pass percentage and passing yards all established school all-time records. His 277-of-438 passes, along with 498 plays participated in as a junior are all Arkansas season marks, as his 3,638 yards passing that year placed second on the UA annual record chart, followed by a 3,387-yard performance as a senior that rank fourth.
Wilson was a four-star prospect who joined the Arkansas program after a stellar career at Greenwood High School, where he was ranked as the ninth-best pro-style quarterback in the nation and fifth-best overall player in the state of Arkansas by Rivals.com. ESPN rated Wilson as the eighth-best quarterback recruit in the nation. He was also a two-time All-State and All-Conference selection, in addition to being recognized with the Landers Award, given to the state of Arkansas' top player during his final campaign.
Wilson led his team to its third straight state championship during his two years as a starter. During his three-year career, he threw for 8,226 yards with 94 touchdowns for the Bulldogs while completing 595-of-923 attempts (64.5%). He generated 4,222 yards and 50 scores behind 294-of-434 chances (67.7%) in 2006, followed by 294-of-473 throws (62.0%) for 3,939 yards and 43 touchdowns as a senior.
Wilson was also a standout pitcher at Greenwood High, where the two-time All-State and All-Conference pick added Gatorade Player of the Year accolades in both 2007 and '08. He posted a 32-9 record with 386 strikeouts in 251.1 innings as a pitcher, including recording an 11-0 record with a 1.42 earned run average while striking out 92 batters in just 64 innings as a senior. He also batted .415 with four home runs, 14 doubles, and 30 RBI that campaign.
One of two quarterbacks on the 2007 Associated Press Super Team following his senior season, Wilson joined the University of Arkansas program in 2008, turning down scholarship offers from Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri and Nebraska. As a true freshman, he finished with one touchdown behind 11-of-22 passes for 69 yards.
During the 2009 schedule, he finished the season 22-of-36 with 218 yards and two touchdowns. In six contests, he hit on 34-of-51 passes (66.67%) for 453 yards and four touchdowns in 2010.
In 2011, Wilson went on to set school season-records while completing 277-of-438 throws (63.24%), establishing UA game records with 510 passing yards and 481 yards in total offense vs. Texas A&M. He set another game record when he completed 32 throws vs. Mississippi State, ending the schedule with 3,638 passing yards, the second-highest total in a season by a Razorback, en route to becoming Arkansas' first passer to receive All-Southeastern Conference first-team recognition.
Wilson began the year with an explosive 367-yard performance that included three touchdown tosses vs. Jacksonville State. He threw for 419 yards while gaining 426 in total offense vs. Rutgers, both the second-best game totals in school history. Wilson would then set two more game records when he attempted 59 passes and was involved in 62 plays the next week vs. Texas A&M. He closed out his career with 31-of-52 passes and 61 total plays (all second-best on the UA game list), throwing for 359 yards vs. Louisiana State. For the year, he amassed 3,387 yards (fourth on the school season chart) with 21 touchdowns on 249-of-401 chances (62.09%) in 2012.
CAREER NOTES
Wilson appeared in 37 games during his five seasons at Arkansas, starting the final 24 games he appeared in...Completed 593 passes, topping the previous UA career-record of 528 by Clint Stoerner (1996-99)…His 948 pass attempts are topped by only Stoerner's 1,023 in school annals…His pass completion percentage of .6255 saw him join Ryan Mallett (.603; 2009-10) as the only Arkansas players to ever complete more than 60% of their attempts in a career…His 7,765 aerial yards bettered Mallett's previous UA all-time mark of 7,493 yards. Stoerner (7,422) is the only other UA passer to throw for over 7,000 yards for the university…With 52 touchdown passes, Wilson joins Mallett (62), Stoerner (57) and Matt Jones (53; 2001-04) as the only player in UA annals with more than 50 scoring strikes…He participated in 1,058 offensive snaps (only other Razorbacks to play in more than 1,000 plays were Jones, with 1,137; Stoerner with 1,200 and Barry Lunney Jr., who was on the field for 1,192 plays from 1992-95)…Ranks second in school history with 7,721 yards in total offense, surpassed by only Matt Jones (8,392)…Responsible for 56 touchdowns, which rank behind Jones (77), Mallett (68) and Stoerner (62) in school history…Averaged 7.30 yards per offensive play. 2012 SEASON

The first quarterback in school history to earn All-Southeastern Conference first-team honors, Wilson was a semi-finalist for the Davey O'Brien Award and finalist for both the Manning Award and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award…Named AT&T/ESPN National Player of the Week for his record-shattering performance vs. Texas A&M, Wilson was also the recipient of the J. 2010 SEASON
Wilson appeared in six games, seeing action vs. Tennessee Tech, Auburn, Mississippi, Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Texas-El Paso…Finished with 453 yards and four touchdowns behind 34-of-51 passes (66.67%)…He became just the ninth quarterback in Arkansas history to throw for 300 yards in a game when he came on in relief of an injured Ryan Mallett in the second quarter vs. Auburn. In less than three full quarters against the Tigers, Wilson passed for a then career-high 323 yards, including a career-long 54-yard completion, and four touchdowns. His touchdown total tied for the fifth-highest single-game output in school history, and his passing yardage equated to the 14th-best single-game performance by a Razorback. His four passing touchdowns tied for the third-highest single-game output in the SEC in 2010, and his passing yards were the 12th-best single-game total in the conference.
2009 SEASON
Wilson played in five games for Arkansas, including action vs. Missouri State, Alabama, Texas A&M, Mississippi and Eastern Michigan…Finished the season with 22-of-36 pass completions (61.11%) for 218 yards and two touchdowns…In his most extensive action, he passed for a total of 138 yards on 13-of-19 passing and both touchdowns in the season opener vs. Missouri State.
2008 SEASON
Wilson appeared vs. Alabama and Texas…He threw for 69 yards and a touchdown on 11-of-22 attempts (50.0%).
