Raiders Will Select 10th Overall In 2018 NFL Draft

How often is a coin flip broadcasted on live TV?

Probably not often, but the coin flip between the Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers was no ordinary coin flip.

On the biggest stage at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Raiders General Manager Reggie McKenzie and Head Coach Jon Gruden met 49ers General Manager John Lynch in front of bleacher seats filled with media members and fans. The toss would determine who would own the ninth or 10th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, and you could cut the tension with a knife – not really.

Raiders cornerback and Hall of Famer Rod Woodson was in charge of doing the flip. As the coin sailed up in the air, rotating, the shiny doubloon glistened as the bright lights reflected off the gold plated edges. After the coin bounced around on the ground and settled down, the side facing up was the 49ers logo.

Sadly, the Silver and Black will follow their Bay Area neighbor, and make their selection with the 10th overall pick.

The team has 11 picks in the draft, here's the official order:
