On Day 1 of the 2016 NFL Draft, Raiders General Manager Reggie McKenzie continued his overhaul of the team's secondary with the first-round selection of safety Karl Joseph from West Virginia. On Day 2, McKenzie once again worked to beef up the roster on the defensive side of the ball, but this time the front seven was the focus. Two new bodies were added in defensive ends Jihad Ward and Shilique Calhoun, two athletic playmakers from Illinois and Michigan State, respectively.
