Brock Bowers continues to show why he should be in the conversation for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
With a 12-yard catch in the fourth quarter of Sunday's matchup against the Buccaneers, Bowers surpassed Sam LaPorta (86) for most catches by a rookie tight end in NFL history.
Coming into Week 14, Bowers led the league in receptions (84) and was named Offensive Rookie of the Month for November after he recorded 32 receptions for 349 yards (10.9 avg.) and three touchdowns in four games played. He is just the third tight end since 1996 to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month and the first since 2005 (Heath Miller).
With the pace Bowers is on, it wouldn't be surprising if the tight end goes on to break the NFL record for most receptions by a rookie, which was set by the Rams' Puka Nacua last season (106 receptions).
