After trading back to the No. 48 pick, the Las Vegas Raiders selected Jack Bech with their first Day 2 pick.

Here are a few things to know about the Raiders newest receiver.

Success with the Horned Frogs

The 6-foot-2, 207-pound receiver led the LSU Tigers in receptions (43) as a true freshman before transferring to TCU heading into his junior season.

He took his game to the next level with the Horned Frogs, leading the team in receptions (62), receiving yards (1,034) and receiving touchdowns (nine) in 2024. He also has experience playing special teams, averaging 17 yards per punt return with TCU and 20.5 yards per kick return with the Tigers.

The Second-Team All-Big 12 selection became the fifth player in TCU history to record a 1,000-yard receiving season.

"Competitive inside or outside target who stands out as a box-checker in several important columns," NFL.com's Lance Zierlein wrote of the receiver. "Bech can be slowed in press and might not have much separation speed, but he's a big, strong receiver with outstanding ball skills. He's physical at the top of the route and has a rebounder's feel for owning catch space once he gains top positioning. His hands are sticky and strong with elite catch focus from any spot on the field."

Family of athletes

Jack Bech comes from a long line of exceptional collegiate athletes.

His paternal grandfather, Malcholm, set several school records in track and field at Southeastern Louisiana, ultimately being inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 1993. His uncle Brett would lead LSU in receiving yards in 1993 and 1994 as a walk-on before playing several seasons in the NFL, XFL and AFL.

Another uncle of his, Blaine, also played receiver at LSU from 2000-03 and his aunt Brenna was one of LSU's initial signees on LSU's first women's soccer team.

3. Recent accolades

Bech was named Senior Bowl MVP back in February, scoring a game-winning touchdown grab in Mobile, Alabama.

On fourth-and-goal, he came way with a two-yard touchdown pass late in the game to take a 22-19 lead for the American Team. He was the leading receiver in the college showcase with six catches for 68 yards.

"It's been surreal just to be able to come and take place in this game," Bech said at the Senior Bowl. "It's a goal that you set for yourself. But if I had the option that if I came here, had the worst week ever, ruined my draft stock and that means I could give my brother a hug right now, you know I would take that."

4. For Tiger

The week before Bech won Senior Bowl MVP, he suffered an incredible loss.

His brother, Tiger Bech, was one of 14 people killed in a pickup truck attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans the day before the Sugar Bowl. Tiger, like his brother, was a wide receiver in college, recording 53 passes for 825 yards with three touchdowns in his three seasons at Princeton University.

In Tiger's honor, every Senior Bowl participant wore a helmet decal of his uniform number 7 in his honor. With a heavy heart, Bech's MVP showing and exceptional week of practice was dedicated to his fallen brother.

"Man, it's simple: My brother has some wings on me," Bech said. "He gave them to me, and he let that all take place. My Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Tiger. Nothing else but them. They're the reason I did what I did today. I attribute it all to them."
