Raiders Acquire Quentin Groves from Jacksonville

LB Quentin Groves is headed to the Raiders.

The Oakland Raiders have acquired LB Quentin Groves in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for an undisclosed draft choice.* *

In two seasons with Jacksonville, Groves played in 32 games with seven starts and totaled 2.5 sacks, one interception and two forced fumbles. Groves was a second round selection (52nd overall) by the Jaguars in the 2008 NFL Draft after a tying a program record with 26 career sacks at Auburn.

The trade marks the second of the offseason for the Raiders, who acquired LB Kamerion Wimbley from the Cleveland Browns in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick on March 14.
