Raiders Activate DT Justin Ellis - 12.1.18

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have activated DT Justin Ellisvia the Reserve/Injured List and have added him to the active roster, the club announced Saturday.

Ellis, a run-stuffing 6-foot-2, 335-pound defensive tackle now in his fifth year with the Raiders, returns to the active roster having appeared in 60 games for the Silver and Black and making 41 starts. Over his career, he has totaled 134 tackles (82 solo), 0.5 sacks and three passes defensed. Last season, he appeared in all 16 contests for the second consecutive season and made 14 starts, collecting a career-high 44 stops (30) in addition to his first career half-sack.

In a corresponding move, the Raiders have waived G/T Denver Kirkland. Kirkland was originally signed by the club as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He appeared in one contest for the team this season after being elevated to the active roster from the practice squad in October.
