Raiders Celebrate 34th Anniversary Of Super Bowl XVIII Win

Thirty-four years ago, the then-Los Angeles Raiders secured the franchise's third world championship, convincingly taking down the Washington Redskins 38-9 at Tampa Stadium.

On the shoulders of a dominant performance by running back Marcus Allen, the Silver and Black's offensive attack proved to be too much for a Redskins team that played catchup all day, never getting closer than within 11 points in the second half.

The game, which featured a combined eight Hall of Fame players, also featured a plethora of big plays, but perhaps none bigger than Allen's 74-yard touchdown gallop that essentially wrapped up the win for the Silver and Black.

January 22 will forever be a significant day in Raiders history, so today seems as good as day as ever to look back at Super Bowl XVIII.
