ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed WR Marcell Ateman and G Lester Cotton Sr. to the 53-man active roster and placed OL Jordan Devey on the Reserve/Injured List, the club announced Saturday.
Ateman, a 6-foot-4, 215-pound wide receiver, joins the active roster after spending the first four weeks on the team's practice squad. Now in his second season with the club, Ateman appeared in seven contests and made six starts as a rookie in 2018, compiling 15 receptions for 154 yards and one touchdown.
Cotton Sr., a 6-foot-4, 335-pound undrafted offensive lineman out of Alabama, also joins the active roster after spending the first four weeks of his rookie campaign on the club's practice squad. He played four years for the Crimson Tide, starting 28 games for the program, making 10 at left guard and 18 at right guard.
Devey, who signed with the Raiders this past offseason as an unrestricted free agent, started the first four contests of the year at both left and right guard. Over his six-year career, the versatile offensive lineman has appeared in 43 contests and made 21 starts.
