The Oakland Raiders have released guard Jonathan Cooper, the club announced Tuesday.
Cooper set a career high with 14 games played in 2015 with Arizona and started all 13 games he appeared in during his lone season with Dallas in 2017.
A native of Wilmington, N.C., Cooper started a school-record 48 games for North Carolina at left guard. A three-time All-ACC selection, Cooper earned first-team All-American honors as a senior and was named the recipient of the 2012 Jacobs Blocking Trophy as the best lineman in the ACC.
He was inactive for both of the Raiders' regular season games in 2019.
