ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed seventh-round draft pick DE Quinton Bell, the club announced Thursday.
Bell was selected with the 230th overall pick by the Raiders in the 2019 NFL Draft. He played four years at Prairie View A&M and appeared in 34 contests. Bell spent the first three years of his collegiate career as a wide receiver before switching to defensive end, recording 19 receptions for 259 yards and one receiving touchdown.
At 6-foot-4, 253 pounds, Bell recorded 42 tackles (13 solo), including 8.5 for loss and 7.5 sacks in just his lone season as a defender. He earned second-team All-Southwestern Athletic Conference in 2018 and became the first drafted player in school history since Matthew Teague was selected in the 1980 NFL Draft.
