Last Thursday, the Oakland Police Department lit the torch in honor of Al Davis, prior to the Oakland Raiders final preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. Five of Oakland's finest, including acting Chief David Downing, were present to represent the men and women in blue.

Downing has been a member of the Oakland Police Department for 27 years and became Chief back in June of this year. The Raiders and officers work hand-in-hand to provide a safe environment for the families and fans at the OACC.
