Q: It was your dream to play for the Raiders. When you were driving here, what were the feelings going through your head?
Carr: "Just watching all the old Raider games and thinking about all those guys coming here and doing all that, it's an exciting experience. Obviously, I still have a lot to learn and I'm excited to learn from my coaches and the veterans on this team. Hopefully Matt didn't get too annoyed of me asking too many questions because Im going to ask even more now. I'm going to try to pick his brain as much as I can."
Q: What's your mindset heading into this camp?
Carr: "Just keep getting better. We made great progress in the OTAs and in Mini-Camp. I'm starting to learn how to be an NFL quarterback and those things, but I still have a long way to go, like I said. I'm going to rely on my coaches and the veterans on the team to help me get through my first camp and whatever I can do to help this team get better."
Q: Did you reach out to Matt during this month off?
Carr: "He was actually doing some other things so there was some other veterans on this team, and if they want to talk about it they can, but I've reaching out to them and asking them questions and all these things, from where do I park when I get there…little rookie questions like that. It's been great because they've been nothing but helpful."
Q: You've probably been around training camps in the past as a kid…
Carr: "Oh yeah. I remember them reporting for camp and all those things. I think I like being on this side of things a lot more than standing and watching. As a little kid, I couldn't wait for the day to come. Now it's here and I know how much more hard work I have to put in."
