CB Keith McGill turned in the play of the day with this interception in the end zone.

A few Raiders were missing from the practice field today. Tackle Menelik Watson, running back Michael Dyer, tight end Clive Walford, running back Roy Helu Jr., and wide receiver Rod Streater did not participate in practice. Defensive end Justin Tuck was also absent, taking a veteran's day off.

Defensive tackle Stacy McGee returned to practice.

Offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom appears to be working behind Rodney Hudson at the center position, taking reps.

Wide receiver Rod Streater, who is on the Active/Non-Football Illness List, could be seen working off to side for first time today.

The energy was good out there today. Players were very visibly hustling in and out of periods.

In the very first play in the team period, fans on hand were treated to a nice pass over the middle from Derek Carr to wide receiver Amari Cooper. Cooper displayed nice burst after the catch and ran the ball to the house much to the delight of the crowd.

Wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins sported a nice pair of neon green gloves.

Gabe Holmes is just a huge target at the tight end spot. Mychal Rivera continues to display good hands. The tight end position battle will be an especially intriguing one to watch.

Quarterback Matt McGloin threw a nice touchdown to a wide open Brice Butler – look for that combination in the preseason opener versus the St. Louis Rams.

Derek Carr took some repetitions in shotgun and also worked on no-huddle offense.

Cornerback Neiko Thorpe came away with a nice interception near the end of practice. The defensive backs have been able to capitalize on increased pressure from the front seven in recent practices, forcing a few turnovers.

Fullback Marcel Reece showed off his receiving skills, catching a number of passes. He lined up out wide numerous times today.

Amari Cooper continues to impress in practice, especially in one-on-ones. He displays so much burst in and out of breaks – creating separation is just easy for him.

Taiwan Jones showed off his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield, snagging a deep pass down sideline from Matt McGloin in seven-on-seven. He continues to make the most of increased reps as other backs have missed time.

Derek Carr showed nice touch today. On one particular play, he floated a ball nicely between two defenders to Michael Crabtree.
