Henderson, Nev. – The Las Vegas Raiders teamed up with Communities in Schools of Southern Nevada and Robert Taylor Elementary School in support of Nevada Reading Week, a statewide initiative to celebrate literacy and promote the love of reading across all ages.

In an effort to enhance participation and activities around Reading Week, the Silver and Black hosted Raiders Spirit Day at Robert Taylor, bringing exciting energy and engaging with students to highlight the importance of reading in education.

The Raiders joined forces with Bank of Nevada, who donated over 500 books, ensuring that every student received a grade appropriate book and provided staff volunteers to read to students. The day included Raiders players Amari Gainer and Jonah Laulu, Raiderettes and Raiders front office staff visiting classrooms for in-person reading circles in English and Spanish, as well as Raider Rusher distributing fun Raiders-themed items. In addition, Melissa's Produce and Tiger Lily provided care packages for teachers.

Raiders front office staff continued to visit several schools throughout the week - Aggie Roberts Elementary School, Evelyn Stuckey Elementary School, Jack Dailey Elementary School, Keith and Karen Hayes Elementary School, Kenneth Divich Elementary School, Marion Earl Elementary School, William Snyder Elementary School and Triggs Elementary School, reading to over 32 classrooms throughout the valley.

This marks the seventh-straight year that the Raiders have supported Nevada Reading Week, providing an incredible opportunity for the community to come together and encourage the importance of reading and personal development. With the Raiders involvement, this year's celebration created an impactful event to help ensure that students have access to the tools they need to succeed in their education.
