Defensive End Khalil Mack

An NFL.com panel of writers recently debated candidates to lead the NFL in sacks in 2016. While several names popped up in the conversation, none were mentioned more frequently than Raiders defensive end Khalil Mack

Mack made big strides between his rookie and sophomore campaigns in which he improved his sack total by 11.

The addition of linebacker Bruce Irvin should free up Mack to go one-on-one with opponents. Irvin demands attention on the opposite side and the two should pair up nicely. With Irvin as Mack's partner in crime, the defensive end will have plenty of opportunities to get after opposing quarterbacks.

"He has shown steady improvement as a player and pass rusher since his career started in Oakland. Mack will be helped by the addition of Bruce Irvin on the other side, especially on passing downs. The other thing that will help him: I expect the offense to continue its improvement behind Derek Carr," wrote Charley Casserly.

Mack is poised to have a big year and looks to continue being a part of the elite pass rusher conversation.
