The Oakland Raiders hit the new, green grass of their totally new practice fields for their second full practice this week as they get ready to host the Arizona Cardinals on NBC's Sunday Night Football at O.co Coliseum.

Here are today's observations:

Defensive end Justin Tuck, wide receiver Andre Holmes, fullback Jamize Olawale, safety Jimmy Hall and tight end Clive Walford did not participate in today's practice.

Temperatures are on the rise at the Raiders facility with a high of 83, very warm for Alameda.  A high of 82 is expected for tomorrow.

All of the defensive players spent a lot of time on tip drills at the beginning of practice.

The tight ends focused heavily on blocking and physically driving defenders backwards. Offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave told the media that the group has been doing commendable work and has stepped up since the injury to Walford.

Wide receiver Rod Streater seems to be improving and looks more comfortable running routes, getting out of his breaks and catching the ball.

Defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr., mentioned that Benson Mayowa has been working at outside linebacker. He could see more action there Sunday night against the Arizona Cardinals. Keep an eye out for No. 95.
