Raiders CB TJ Carrie Participates in Read Across America Day

In honor of Read Across America Day, Oakland Raiders cornerback TJ Carrie visited Walt Disney Elementary School in San Ramon and read to 4th and 5th grade students in honor of Dr. Seuss and what would have been his 112th birthday.

Read Across America Day is celebrated by the National Education Association (NEA).

"Every year on NEA's Read Across America Day, the imaginations of children across the country are ignited when they open up a good book," said NEA President Lily Eskelsen García on NEA's website. "While we take a fun and lighthearted approach to our Read Across America celebrations, we do so with a serious purpose in mind: to encourage a love of reading."
