Player on injured reserve
Robert Spillane turned in his most productive NFL season to date as an integral part of the Raiders defense.
The team captain started all 17 games in 2024, leading the team in total tackles (158) and solo tackles (91) while ranking in the top five of all linebackers in the league in both of those categories. His two interceptions and 10 tackles for loss were also the second-most of any player on the team. Alongside Spillane, Divine Deablo enjoyed a productive fourth NFL season, totaling 35 solo tackles and two pass deflections in his 14 starts. Both Spillane and Deablo are set to become free agents in March.
Luke Masterson appeared in four games with two starts before suffering a season-ending injury in practice ahead of Week 5's matchup. In his absence, rookie Tommy Eichenberg and second-year linebacker Amari Burney were asked to play bigger roles in the defense down the stretch while also seeing action on special teams. The two combined for 18 solo tackles, with Burney adding in three tackles for loss, one sack and a forced fumble.
Amari Gainer was one of two rookie UDFAs to make the initial 53-man roster and ultimately played in all 17 games as a core special teamer. Kana'i Mauga also played a pivotal role on special teams and even found himself lined up at fullback a few times throughout the season.
Jackson Mitchell and Brandon Smith signed reserve/future contracts this January. Smith spent time on the practice squad last season while Mitchell was with the Raiders during training camp.
