In their final road game of the season, the Las Vegas Raiders defeated the New Orleans Saints, 25-10.
This was the first time the Silver and Black scored at least 20 points in a game since Week 9.
The Raiders struck first in Caesars Superdome with a 31-yard field goal made by Daniel Carlson on their first possession. The offense moved down the field in a 16-play drive that took nearly 10 minutes off the clock.
Running back Ameer Abdullah accounted for 53 total scrimmage yards on the drive, helping get the unit down to the 1-yard line before ultimately settling with the three points. The veteran running back rushed for a career-high 115 yards on 20 carries.
The Saints responded with some trickery to take the lead early in the second quarter. Rookie Spencer Rattler pitched the ball off to Kendre Miller, who lateraled the ball back to the quarterback. Former Raiders tight end Foster Moreau broke free down the opposite sideline to catch a 30-yard deep shot and make it a 7-3 score.
On the following drive, the Silver and Black got back into scoring territory with a 28-yard grab from Terrace Marshall Jr. Yet, the possession ended with another field goal from Carlson, cutting the lead to 7-6 with 10:19 left in the second quarter.
As the first half came to a close, the Raiders retook the lead with their first touchdown score of the day. Aidan O'Connell drove the offense 95 yards down the field, going 4-of-6 for 62 passing yards, and culminated the drive with a three-yard toss to Jakobi Meyers in the end zone.
On that touchdown drive, Brock Bowers caught two passes for 30 yards on his way to breaking the record for most receiving yards in a single-season by a rookie tight end. The record had stood for over six decades, previously set by Pro Football Hall of Famer Mike Ditka in 1961. Bowers also ended the day as the team's leading receiver with 77 yards on seven catches.
The Saints added a 34-yard field goal by Blake Grupe, but the Raiders went into halftime with a 13-10 lead over the Saints – their second straight game with a halftime lead.
The Raiders continued to dictate the time of possession in the second half, keeping the Saints offense off the field and stringing together lengthy drives. Two more made field goals from Carlson brought the score to 19-10 early in the fourth quarter, as the Raiders kicker went a perfect 4-for-4 on field goals for the day.
With 11:30 left in regulation, Jack Jones secured his third interception on the season when he caught a bobbled pass intended for Saints receiver Cedrick Wilson. It was also the defense's seventh turnover in their last four games.
Following the turnover, an 18-yard ballerina catch in the back of the left end zone by Tre Tucker sealed the deal for the Silver and Black.
