What They're Saying: Broncos expect 'intense' game with Raiders

The Raiders are on the road this weekend and will look to extend their winning streak against Denver to nine games.

Take a look at what the Broncos' players and coaches had to say ahead of Week 5.

On the Raiders defense:

"They fly around, they do a lot of different things. They're very multiple. Good in the back end, good in the front seven. They can get pressure on the quarterback, they tackle well, they're physical. I know it's going to be an intense game. We have to do a good job of just executing our plan knowing that they're going to be around, knowing that they're going to make their plays." - Broncos quarterback Bo Nix

On TE Brock Bowers:

"He's one of those joker tight ends that can move in space. You can see and feel his football I.Q. when you watch him play. He has exceptional hands. He's savvy. There aren't many players from Napa, California. I remember in the Combine interview just being surprised. He's definitely someone that can give you headaches." - Broncos Head Coach Sean Payton

On the importance of divisional games and playing the Raiders:

"Look, it's a division opponent. It's our first chance to play a division opponent [this year]. ... Then you take a team like Las Vegas. There's a long storied history and certainly, I appreciate that, especially with our fans." - Broncos Head Coach Sean Payton

"It's been a rivalry for a long time. It's a fun rivalry. I went to school in Boulder, and I would watch it every year it would happen. For our team, it's the next game. It's the first game in division at home after three out of four in a row which have been [away]. ... The divisional game is obviously fun; playing the Raiders is always fun." - Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph

On what stands out about Raiders DE Maxx Crosby and DT Christian Wilkins on film:

"He can bend. He's explosive. Wilkins, you see and notice a lot now. He plays the run extremely well, but he's an inside pass rushing problem. That was a good acquisition for them, and he shows up in every game. Then with Maxx, especially when those two are on the same side, Maxx occasionally will go over to the left side. They just create protection issues when it comes to the clock in the quarterback's head." - Broncos Head Coach Sean Payton
