Raiders-Broncos Pick

By Nick Hennion, BETMGM

Based on odds from the BetMGM online sportsbook, I'm taking the Raiders Spread (+3, -115) against the Broncos.

Denver has defied the odds and captured two consecutive wins as underdogs. Now they're a market favorite for the first time all season.

To me, that's an obvious signal to fade rookie quarterback Bo Nix, who managed only 60 passing yards in a rain-soaked New York last week.

Although the gap between the Jets and Raiders secondary is large, Las Vegas leads the league in PFF's rush defense grades.

If Denver can't establish the run, it should make life easier for the Raiders secondary.

Plus, Las Vegas matches a historically profitable betting system in this spot.

Road underdogs in games 2-7 priced between +1 and +3 are 59.8% ATS, assuming the opponent failed to reach the postseason the year prior.

Here's the kicker: when those underdogs see their spread rise by at least a point from market open, they jump from 59.8% ATS to 71.1% ATS, including 22-9 ATS off a win.

With the Raiders sitting on a key number, I'll take them to cover the spread in Denver.
