Raiders-Saints Pick

By Nick Hennion, BETMGM

Based on odds from the BetMGM online sportsbook, my Raiders vs. Saints prediction is the Raiders Moneyline (-120).

Give Las Vegas credit for their performance against the Jaguars. On short rest in what normally proves a terrible spot, Antonio Pierce led the Raiders to an outright victory.

Aidan O'Connell's return likely coincided with that positive result, as he and Brock Bowers appear to have a symbiotic relationship.

Now, they get a Saints team with virtually no offensive weapons in the same spot the Raiders found themselves in last week: off a loss on MNF traveling back on short rest.

Las Vegas also owns the far superior quarterback in this matchup.

Of 44 quarterbacks with at least 100 snaps this year, Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler is 43rd in EPA per play plus completion percentage over expected.

O'Connell only sits 39th in that category, but he finds himself in a spot that has treated Pierce well.

The Raiders head coach has closed a market favorite six times in his tenure. Pierce is 5-1 ATS in those spots, including a cover against Jacksonville last week.

Lastly, New Orleans performs dismally covering tight ends. Entering Week 17, the Saints rank 28th in DVOA against the position.

If Bowers continues his strong performances, it will likely spell success for Vegas.
